Frequently Asked Questions

Here, we address the most common questions asked about counseling services at Harvest House Counseling. Can’t find what you are looking for? Send us a text message or Give us a call.

  • Do you accept insurance?

At Harvest House Counseling, we accept the following payment methods for counseling services: CareCredit, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Sliding Scale.

A sliding scale is our flexible fee structure to ensure those with limited income also have access to quality counseling services. The fee is determined based on income level. Our sliding scale varies for each therapist.

BCBS ONLY: While we do not accept this insurance, we do offer BCBS insurance carriers 15% off. Please mention the discount when you reach out to apply to your account.

  • Does insurance cover marriage or couples counseling?

We always encourage you to check with your carrier; however, most insurance companies do not cover marriage or couples counseling.

While we cannot promise you reimbursement from your insurance company, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network and out-of-pocket costs.

  • How much is therapy without insurance?

Fees range from $180.00 to $100.00 per 1-hour appointment.

Sometimes we have student interns available for appointments; their fees range from $100.00 to $65.00 per 1-hour appointment.

  • What are the benefits of a student therapist?

    • Willingness to ask questions

While less experienced than a fully licensed clinician, you can count on them to ask questions and use various updated educational resources. You will receive not only the benefits of up-to-date education and resources but also from their supervisor(s) years of experience.

    • Smaller caseloads

Because they are also full-time students, they have smaller caseloads. How does this benefit you? Smaller caseloads allow them more time to prepare and focus on you. Additionally, they can be more flexible to fit your busy schedule.

    • High energy and enthusiasm

After years of education and the therapy setting on their campus, they are grateful you are willing to trust in them. This gratitude shows through during sessions.

    • Reduced Cost

Because most interns work for “free,” we have more flexibility with your cost. A student intern is a great way to get excellent care for a reduced price.

  • What are your fees?

Harvest House counseling fees range from as low as $25 to $190. Each therapist’s fee is different. For specific information on the fees of the therapists you are interested in, please give us a call or send us a text message.
